Rita Ora is a British singer/songwriter. Born in Kosovo, Rita's family moved to London when she was still a baby, and as a teenager she attended the Sylvia Young Theatre School. In 2007, Rita had her first taste of fame on Craig David's single Awkward, which was followed up by a guest-slot on Where's Your Love  with Tinchy Stryder in 2008. In 2009, she auditioned for Eurovision: Your Country Needs You  but withdrew as she felt she wasn't ready for the competition. Shortly after this, she caught the attention of Jay-Z, who signed her to his label Roc Nation. Rita recently revealed that she turned down the opportunity to record Cheryl Cole's single Call My Name  but it doesn't seem to have done her much harm - her debut track, Hot Right Now  (feat. DJ Fresh) topped the UK charts in February 2012. Her hit, R.I.P., was written by Drake, features Tinie Tempah and was produced by drum and bass duo Chase & Status. And that's just a taste of the star power behind her debut album (which is due to be released later in 2012) - Will.I.Am, Kanye West and The Dream have also teamed up on it.
